“Cosmonautics”

The Museum of Cosmonautics is one of the largest scientific and historical museums in the world. Here you will get acquainted with the history of space exploration — from the fantastic projects of Kaluga dreamer Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky to modern orbital stations.

The Monument "To the Conquerors of Space" was erected at Prospekt Mira in Moscow. This outstanding city landmark has been jointly designed by architects Michail Barsh and Andrey Kolchin, and sculptor Andrey Faydish-Krandiyevskiy. The 110-meter titanium monument at VDNKh became a symbol of the qualitative technological leap of its time. The launch of the first artificial Earth satellite, the first living creatures and the first man in space became the starting point in the world space industry.

Visitors will see all the main artifacts of Soviet, Russian and world cosmonautics — the first satellites and automatic stations, spacesuits of Yuri Gagarin and Alexei Leonov, models of world cosmodromes.
